UMPF Lithium Battery LifePO4

Abuse & Safety Tested

Our lithium batteries (LiFePO4) pass an abuse and safety test which includes a drop, nail penetration, impact, crush, thermal shock, short circuit, overcharge, and over discharge. Our stable LiFePO4 chemical structure results in no thermal runaway, no fire, no explosion. Our product is safer than a lead battery that has toxic lead, acid, and vapors.

Each LiFePO4 battery is certified safe.

OEM Tested and Approved

UMPF batteries are the only LiFePO4 product that has been tested, approved, and included as a standard feature for a new towable RV manufacturer. Eclipse, the maker of Attitude Toyhaulers in Riverside, CA, tested and approved the UMPF LiFePO4 deep cycle battery.

LiFePO4 vs. Lead Acid Batteries

Our lithium batteries store energy in a safe and efficient way, offering considerable advantages over lead acid batteries, including AGM and Gel.

UMPF LiFePO4Lead Acid including (AMG/Gel)
Superior useable capacity. Useable amp hours.
100Ah LifePO4 = 80-90 actual amp hours.
Limited useable capacity.
100Ah LEAD/AGM/GEL= 30-50ah actual.
Extended Life Cycle. 2000-5000 cycles.

Example- 80% DOD (Depth of Discharge) can recharge 2000+
Limited Life Cycle. 500-700 depending on DOD.

Example- 50% DOD can recharge 500 times. 80% DOD can only recharge 250 times.
Fast efficient charging- 100% quick charge, trickle charge, or solar charge.Slow and inefficient charging. Can only bulk charge or (quick) charge the first 80%. The remaining 20% is a slow charge (absorption phase). Last 20% takes 80% of the time to charge.
100% efficiency. Every drop of sun collected from solar, every amp from charger is collected and goes to battery.Waste 15% of storable energy via inherent charging inefficiency. 100Ah only stores 85AH.
No premature aging – No damage. Charge it 100% or 10% no problem.Premature Aging- If not fully charged every time, the battery will age prematurely.
No Peukerts loss- Drain the battery. In 1 or 20 hours on any appliance and still have 80%. That’s 80% vs. 30%.Peukerts loss- Faster discharge for a/c, microwave, and all big draw appliances.
Example- drain the battery over 20 hours = 50% usable. Drain the battery in 1 hour = 60% of the 50% usable = 30%.
No voltage drop- Produces 12v from 100%-10% charged.Voltage drop – when the battery drops below 50% charge, the voltage drops under12v ( lights dimming, appliances not turning on , inverter, TV,….)
Weight- 50% lighter.Weight- 100% heavier.
Climate resistant to- 20c . Capacity remains at 80%.Not climate resistant- Cold temperatures reduce capacity to 30%.
100Ah LiFePO4 battery = 80 Ah.200Ah AGM/Gel batteries = 100Ah @ 50%x 85% efficiency = 85Ah
